To mark the second anniversary of the

Lagos Blue Line Rail, Governor Babajid

Sanu Olu has announced a 50% fair

reduction for Thursday, September 4,

2025. This gesture celebrates the

achievements of the Lagos rail mass

transit blue line, which has operated

since September 2023 and has safely

transported over 5 million passengers

without a single accident.

The Blue Line currently runs every 10

minutes, completing over 90 trips per

day, significantly improving

transportation between Marina and Mile

2. Governor Sanvo Olu praised the

project's impact, noting how it has been

made committing faster, safer, and more

efficient for Lagos residents.

In June 2025, the state government

boosted the systems capacity by

unveiling three new train sets delivered

in partnership with Zamata and CC.

Additionally, the phase two of the

project which will extend the rail from

mile 2 to Okokco is well on the way with

visible progress in stations and tracks.

The governor reitated his commitment to

providing worldclass infrastructure and

urge residents to take advantage of the

fair slash and experience the systems

improvements for themselves.
