ladies and gentlemen today's episode
0:03
where we're going to be discussing about
0:05
this Spring Church with Reverend Simon
0:09
wangi who is a founding cluster and the
0:14
reciting pastor of the ministry to start
0:17
we can just have a short background of
0:20
who where everyone is we'll take it
0:24
yes my name is uh Reverend Simon mwangi
0:29
and I am a husband I am a father and
0:33
indeed I've been a pastor for the last
0:37
20 years
0:39
country
0:40
leading newsprint Church alongside the
0:44
other ministers that God has brought our
0:47
way and I'm truly thankful for this
0:50
opportunity to talk to your viewers
0:53
about the Journey of New Spring Church
0:55
and the things that God is doing in and
0:58
through us
0:59
when did New Spring Ministries start or
1:03
when was the seed planted
1:06
well uh the Journey of the founding of
1:11
Blue Spring charge started I would say
1:15
about two years ago when um God prompted
1:19
my wife and I to move from the city of
1:24
Nairobi to come to yahururu and our
1:28
primary reason for moving was not
1:30
actually planting the church it was
1:32
somewhere in the back road but the
1:35
initial Ministry that we came to this
1:38
town to do was reaching out and
1:41
ministering to pastors and their spouses
1:43
through a Ministry that Iran that are
1:46
indeed gives us psychosocial and
1:49
spiritual support to pastors their
1:52
spouses and their children but indeed
1:54
when we got here it became very clear to
1:58
us that there was a need for a purely
2:01
biblical and truly life-giving Church in
2:04
this community and uh thank God put it
2:08
in our hearts
2:10
sometimes last year but one I would say
2:14
soon after we came to this town to
2:18
became a fellowship right in our house
2:20
which we did and with a group of a few
2:23
people we started meeting together on
2:26
weekly business and Progressive with God
2:29
you know led us into the direction of
2:33
actually launching a new speed chart as
2:35
we have it today
2:36
[Music]
2:41
the church has been in existence now for
2:46
the last five months because the launch
2:48
the official launch was in the year 2023
2:51
this is the year we are in on the uh on
2:54
the month of February at the 5th that's
2:57
when we officially launched uh the
3:00
church
3:01
most people might be asking what is
3:04
guiding doctor or
3:08
Dogma right of new spring Ministries and
3:12
a very good question as I have mentioned
3:15
the philosophy behind the ministry of
3:19
new spring charge is a tricky things
3:22
that we focus on number one we are
3:27
saying that we are a truly biblical chat
3:30
and basically what that means is that we
3:33
are founded upon the principles of the
3:37
word of God which is in of course the
3:40
Old Testament in the New Testament and
3:42
primarily we are saying that uh we
3:45
operate within those boundaries you know
3:48
as a poor Hotel Timothy in the book of
3:51
First Timothy
3:52
um you know chapter 4 that you know how
3:56
to behave in the household of God and we
4:00
pick that and he's saying that
4:01
everything that we do every decision
4:03
that we make and everything that we
4:06
engage ourselves in is founded on that
4:08
principle that we want to make sure that
4:11
we are truly biblical not only in our
4:15
doctrines meaning what we teach but also
4:17
in our practice you know how we live so
4:20
that indeed when somebody walks seem to
4:22
discharge or get into contact with
4:25
anybody who has the DNA of real
4:27
spirituals they're going to connect with
4:29
people who are you know have a truly
4:33
biblical worldview in in regard to the
4:36
decisions that they are making on a
4:38
day-to-day basis but also in regard to
4:40
the things that they are teaching uh
4:42
both at home but also in the workplace
4:44
so that is the first thing and then the
4:46
second thing about newsprint chart is
4:49
that we are a life-giving church and
4:52
then this is inspired by the story of
4:54
Jesus with a Samaritan woman at the well
4:57
and then Jesus tells the Samaritan woman
4:59
that I'm going to give you water to
5:02
drink and if you drink this water out of
5:05
you you're going to believe us of Living
5:08
Water that will flow uh you know from
5:10
you and indeed you're saying that as we
5:12
interact together as we connect and
5:14
learn from the word of God we become a
5:17
well uh from which people will drink and
5:21
they'll be refreshed and indeed we
5:23
become Life Changers in the community
5:25
that we are in because they're saying
5:27
we're not just um you know Sunday
5:30
Christians uh we are Christians in the
5:33
marketplace we are Christians in our
5:35
homes we are Christian in our schools
5:37
and we want to issue life we want to be
5:39
able to impact people in every situation
5:42
that there is then the third and the
5:44
equally important is that we're not only
5:47
are truly biblical church and a
5:49
life-giving church but they're also
5:51
saying that we are a chart for the
5:53
generation and basically what that means
5:55
is that um we want to be able to uh have
5:59
and bring a solution even to the issues
6:03
that affect this generation because we
6:06
are living in a time uh of course these
6:09
are days of freedom and we will almost
6:11
say like it was said in the Old
6:13
Testament in the Book of Judges that
6:15
everyone did what was writing their own
6:17
eyes and we are saying a solution to
6:20
this generation is are people getting to
6:24
connect with the knowledge of who God is
6:27
and when they know who God is in terms
6:30
of his character and his nature but also
6:33
understand what his will is then the
6:36
generation that we are in becomes a
6:39
generation that indeed walks in the fear
6:41
of God and indeed will live a legacy
6:44
because you're going to exit this place
6:46
someday soon and therefore we want to
6:48
make sure that we are exiting or living
6:51
behind us children who really know and
6:54
appreciate what God really wants them to
6:57
do and not only knowing but also working
7:00
in obedience you know to the ways of God
7:02
so in a nutshell that is what new spring
7:05
is all about wonderful wonderful
7:08
now
7:10
you see when you have
7:14
principles for this ministry we would
7:17
follow that what kind of programs are
7:20
you maybe running right now or I'm glad
7:24
to try so that we can jail and push his
7:29
agenda of really good charge for the
7:33
generation and the life-giving charge
7:35
what can you just briefly live for
7:37
international give us the programs
7:39
that's been initiated and advanced
7:44
yeah once again and thank you
7:48
for us to be able to achieve the vision
7:51
and the dev that God has given us we we
7:55
take up a philosophy of um
8:00
lifelong discipleship in other words
8:03
what you're saying at the moment when
8:06
any single individual comes into contact
8:11
with new spring charge the Journey
8:14
Begins of A discipleship whether the
8:19
these are children or their teenagers on
8:22
their young adults or their adults male
8:26
or female the moment we come into
8:29
contact with New Spring Church a journey
8:33
of discipleship begins and therefore we
8:37
have in our programs Ministry that
8:40
focuses on children and if I can talk
8:43
about that in a moment uh we we have a
8:47
children who come here every week and
8:50
particularly we have programs that run
8:52
on Saturdays we have Pro in the
8:55
afternoons for children
8:57
um you know below 15 years of age these
9:01
are teenagers and children but also on
9:04
Sundays but also again we have
9:06
discipleship programs for adults both
9:09
men and women we have discipleship
9:11
programs for young people and basically
9:15
our our
9:16
focus and our commitment is to ensure
9:20
that anybody who comes into New Spring
9:23
Church regardless of the space they are
9:25
in in their Journey whatever season they
9:28
are in in their lives they are able to
9:30
connect with the word of God but also to
9:33
connect with believers who are able to
9:36
guide them in their own journey of
9:39
growth so in a nutshell everything that
9:41
we do there could be a lot of activities
9:43
that we do but it all boils down to this
9:46
one thing lifelong discipleship even for
9:50
everyone who comes to newspaper
9:53
[Music]
9:58
ladies and gentlemen keep that in mind
10:01
now past assignment
10:03
Reverend Simon the these programs are
10:08
very interesting
10:09
for those viewers like
10:12
to know more about this because
10:18
[Music]
10:24
yeah we are located in um
10:29
town we are four kilometers uh from town
10:33
uh on the highway that goes to nakuru uh
10:38
just uh to the uh left we have about 400
10:42
meters from the main road you see our
10:45
Sanctuary there just next to uh the
10:48
river and a beautiful facility that God
10:51
has provided for us uh that we can enjoy
10:54
but also you can be able to join us
10:56
through our uh media platforms and
11:00
you'll see on your screens uh there we
11:02

11:05

11:08

11:10

11:13

11:16
our contacts are there if you want to
11:18

11:21
now for those who would like to partner
11:24
or to because from what I hear this is a
11:27
new church now
11:34
[Music]
11:40
yeah indeed we have opportunities for
11:43
everyone who has the desire to grow
11:48
their talents and God given gifts and
11:50
neutralize them in the work of the
11:52
ministry and you can join us and even
11:56
through our pastoral team when you
11:59
contact us so we can be able to place
12:02
you somewhere that you can really serve
12:05
God whether it is through music whether
12:07
it is true through community service
12:09
where we're doing home visitations and
12:12
reaching out to children and young
12:14
people and although all other Ministries
12:17
including even being able to serve with
12:21
our media
12:22
Ministry we have a whole set of
12:27
Ministries that we can engage you young
12:30
and old alike just come and be part of
12:34
this great work that God is doing in our
12:36
town
12:38
